Stagehand is a lightweight Chrome extension for anyone who records instructional videos, product demos or walkthroughs. It overlays simple annotation tools on top of any web page so you can point at exactly what you’re talking about, then clear it and keep going.

Everything you create, annotations, screenshots and settings, is saved locally in your browser — no remote storage, no sign-up, no sync. Exporting settings is a manual, on-demand file you control. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Why I built it

I built Stagehand for my own production line — it runs in every instructional video and guide I publish. Dogfooding evidence: I build tools for my own workflow the same way I build tools for teams. I wanted a simple right-click tool to add arrows, highlights and screenshots — something simple and lightweight that gets out of the way.
